Development Application APPROVED

Hip Hip Hooray,

Finally, our plans were accepted today. The "Development Application" was in Newcastle City Council for 5 weeks. So now we are waiting on "Letter of Commencement" from financial institution. After that has been forwarded to builder, construction will begin as soon as possible by McDonald Jones Homes. With any luck this will be in January 2010.

The waiting continues.....

For anyone wanting a sticky beek inside the Monte Carlo Elite, here is your chance. The layout is a little different to our floor plan but all the rooms are the same size etc. And of course the furniture shown is obviously not ours, as you will see. But the end result will be the same......eventually.

Below are images of our plans. A few things were altered after these copies ; mainly the window in bed 3, cavity slider door added to walk in robe and tiling to hallway. The rest is very close to the final plans. Complete external finish of the house is to be bag and painted and will look similar too main photo on the top of page. This finished look is called (Moroka).

Land Settlement

Well finally settlement for our block of land was finalised on Friday 23rd October 2009 at 3:00PM. As you can see, we are keeping the block mowed and trimmed ready for construction. The next stage will be submitting plans to council....
