SLAB POURED

Today was a step forward with the slab finally being poured. Recycled water pipes are now to be installed along with pit, then frames and trusses will go up afterwards. So slowly but surely things are progressing. The master bedroom is to the left, then patio with double garage to the right. Just a little water left from some light drizzle in the afternoon, but nothing excessive. Just need a few good days of sun now, which is expected so all is looking good.

Waffle Pods / Steel Installed

The waffle pods and steel are now complete, and slab is ready to be poured on Monday weather permitting, so things are moving steadily so far.

Concrete Footings / Sand Bed Complete

Today the concrete piers were done and the packing sand was laid. One step closer to slab being poured.

Formwork Begins

Today the formwork for slab had begun even though it poured rain early in the morning, they still managed to get most of the outer formwork done. Waffle pods and temporary fence also arrived.

Plumbing Completed

Today plumbing was installed. Drilling of piers and preparation of formwork for slab due to begin Thursday February 4th, but maybe delayed due to possible rain over the coming days. Slab booked in to be poured Monday 8th February.

Excavation COMPLETE (Jan 27th 2010)

Well today we finally got some progress on our land. The site has been cut and filled, and is now ready for the next stage to begin. The slab is to be poured by Monday February 8th, then things will roll on from there. Finallly things are starting after such a very long wait. A very happy day today. Excavation begins 3rd February 2010

We have been notified that excavting will begin around 3rd February 2010. Surveyors have already pegged out site. Land will be mowed again over this weekend in preparation for earthworks. So finally some movement after all this time. Will keep this site updated regularly once they begin. So keep your eyes open for new pics arriving from February onwards.
